Welcome to the
7th Annual 2008 Homeland Security Conference website
Events throughout the
world and incidents closer to home have underscored the
unrelenting need to enhance preparedness, expand
prevention efforts, and improve response capabilities to
terrorist threats against our nation. To address these
challenges, the Seventh Annual Homeland Security
Conference will present nationally renowned experts who
will guide participants in optimizing homeland security
resources. Conference speakers will identify and discuss
emerging threats, highlight cutting edge technological
resources, share expertise in conducting risk
assessments, assist in the formulation of appropriate
response strategies, and facilitate the development of
inter-disciplinary partnerships to ensure the safety and
security of our nation.
We are in the planning process
for this year's conference and should have information
on dates, place, registration, and scholarships soon so
please check back often. In the meantime, please
use the links to the left to view information on past
conferences and to contact us with questions.
Our goal is to educate and
inform all communities locally, statewide,
regionally and nationally, ensuring that all safety,
police, fire, security, rescue, response, medical
and civilian personnel will matrix all their skills
and efforts at all levels to:
- prepare and protect
- respond and resolve
- safeguard and secure
all of our people and
resources in a positive, effective, and efficient
effort in any and all Homeland Security issues and
concerns.
